The Jr Lancer Flag Football Program

The Jr Lancer Flag level is an entry point into BC football for 2nd and 3rd graders.   Teams will consist of between 6 and 8 players constructed by the coaches.   The coaching staff will be comprised of parent volunteers and BC Lancer varsity players, supported by the Jr Lancer Board of Directors and Joel Nellis, head varsity football coach at BCHS.    All coaches will complete a criminal background check and USA Football training.

The goals of the program are to introduce players to football and Lancer football terminology, learn proper ball handling, footwork and body positioning techniques for both offense and defense, teamwork, and above all else have fun in a safe environment and develop a love of the game.

Season Details:

• Team rosters (6 to 8 players) constructed by coaches
• Practices begin in August
• Practices held on Wisconsin Hills Middle School
• Parent and Player Meeting: August 5, 6-6:4
• Practice 2 times per week on T & TH until first scrimmage
• After first scrimmage practice will go to 1 day/week
• Player Evaluations: 8/14/24, 5-6pm
• First Practice: 8/20/24 @ Wisconsin Hills Middle School
• Scrimmage: 9/7/24
• First Game: 9/14/24
• 6 game season – games played at BCHS
• Opportunity to play some games at Harrison-Thomas Stadium on BC varsity field
